Closed CMA consultation on Broadcom and VMware merger
On 6 December 2022, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) closed the consultation regarding the acquisition by Broadcom Inc. of VMware Inc., a provider of multi-cloud services. Representations submitted will assist the CMA investigation into determining if the transaction may lead to a relevant merger situation under the Enterprise Act 2002 and whether the creation of such a situation would potentially lead to a substantial lessening of competition in the UK market.
