Brazil: Issued precautionary measures against Hurb platform over alleged violations of consumer regulation

On 17 October 2023, the Brazilian National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) issued precautionary measures as part of its investigation into Hurb, a platform that connects users to hotels, hostels, rental cars, and flight bookings. Senacon ordered Hurb to provide clarifications regarding its financial status and resource forecasts within five days of the order. Additionally, Hurb is required to provide information on the execution of package deals with "fixed months" and those with flexible dates to safeguard consumer interests.
