Arizona: HB 2146 amending data security breach notification rules implemented
On 22 July 2022, HB 2146, amending state law on data security breach notifications, has been implemented in the State of Arizona. The Bill requires additional notification of the Arizona Department of Homeland Security within 45 days in incidents affecting more than 1000 individuals. Under previous rules, only affected individuals and, in larger cases, consumer reporting agencies and the attorney general needed to be notified.
