Arizona: HB 2146 amending data security breach notification rules introduced in House

On 18 January 2022, HB 2146, amending state law on data security breach notifications, has been introduced in the Arizona House of Representatives. If passed, the Bill would require additional notification of the Arizona Department of Homeland Security within 45 days. Under previous rules, only affected individuals and, in larger cases, consumer reporting agencies and the attorney general needed to be notified.
