Arizona: HB 2146 amending data security breach notification rules passed by House
On 17 February 2022, HB 2146, amending state law on data security breach notifications, has been passed by the Arizona House of Representatives and will now be put to the Senate. If passed, the Bill would require additional notification of the Arizona Department of Homeland Security within 45 days. Under previous rules, only affected individuals and, in larger cases, consumer reporting agencies and the attorney general needed to be notified.
