On 22 March 2022, HB 2146, amending state law on data security breach notifications, has been adopted by the Arizona Legislature after favourable votes in both chambers, and will be passed to the Governor for signing. If signed and implemented, the Bill would require additional notification of the Arizona Department of Homeland Security within 45 days. Under previous rules, only affected individuals and, in larger cases, consumer reporting agencies and the attorney general needed to be notified.
