House of Commons passed Automated Vehicles Bill

On 1 May 2024, the House of Commons passed the Automated Vehicles Bill. The Bill contained amendments agreed by the Commons, including changes to Clause 40, Clause 43, Clause 89, Clause 93, Clause 100 and Schedule 1. These amendments addressed powers of the Welsh Ministers as highways or traffic authorities, the role of traffic commissioners in relation to fees and monetary penalties, procedural matters concerning traffic regulation measures and the handling of money received through regulations. The updated Bill text reflected these modifications before being returned to the House of Lords for consideration of Commons amendments.
