Polish Senate passes resolution rejecting the Amendment to Broadcasting Act

On 9 September 2021, the Senate of the Republic of Poland passed a resolution rejecting the Amendment to Broadcasting Act. The legislative proposal would introduce new requirements and set a new threshold on foreign investment in national radio and television stations. In particular, the law would ban companies outside the European Economic Area from holding or acquiring more than a 49% stake in television and radio stations.
