Description

Amendment to Polish Broadcasting Act is adopted by Sejm

On 11 August 2021, Poland's lower house of parliament, the Sejm, passed the Amendment to Broadcasting Act. The amendment aims to introduce a new threshold on foreign investment in national radio and television stations. In particular, the Bill would prevent companies outside the European Economic Area from holding or acquiring more than a 49% stake in television and radio stations. The act goes to the Polish Senate for adoption.
