Description

Adopted Amendment to Broadcasting Act

On 17 December 2021, Poland's lower house of parliament, the Sejm, passed the Amendment to Broadcasting Act. The bill outlines new requirements and introduces a new threshold on foreign investment in national radio and television stations. The law bans companies outside the European Economic Area from holding or acquiring more than a 49% stake in television and radio stations. The Act now goes to the Polish President Andrzej Duda for signing.
