Implemented OMB Memorandum requiring removal and disallowing the installation of TikTok on Government Devices

On 29 March 2023, the Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies implementing the "No TikTok on Government Devices Act" adopted by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requiring the removal and disallowing the installation of TikTok on federal devices and prohibiting internet traffic to the application, is implemented. The Agencies had 30 days from the adoption of the Memorandum on 27 February 2023 to comply with the requirements. The Memorandum implements the "No TikTok on Government Devices Act", which prohibits installing and using the social media video application TikTok on federal agencies' information technologies.
