On 6 December 2022, the Council of the European Union adopted its general approach on the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), including provisions establishing a European AI Board. The AI Board would advise the Commission and the Member States regarding the implementation of the AI Act. Under the adopted general approach, the tasks of the AI Board would be expanded to ensure greater autonomy. The Board would be involved in the preparation of implementing Acts and Commission delegated Acts. Furthermore, a permanent subgroup would be established to ensure cooperation with the stakeholders.
