Concluded negotiations on Korea and Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement including data localisation prohibition

On 15 December 2021, the Governments of Korea and Singapore announced the conclusion of negotiations for the Korea-Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement. The Agreement provides that both countries will facilitate cross-border opportunities for business innovation and promote the adoption of AI governance and ethical frameworks that support the safe and responsible use of AI-based technologies.
