On 9 April 2026, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs issued a notice to YouTube over a preliminary assessment of non-compliance with the age verification requirements under Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 concerning governance of electronic system implementation in child protection. It was stated that the preliminary notice is the first stage of administrative sanctions.
