On 12 August 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology opened a public consultation until 15 August 2025 on the Draft Law on Digital Transformation, 2025. The Draft Law requires organisations managing and operating digital platforms to share data with competent state agencies to serve policy making, management, and development of the digital economy under Article 42(1). It sets conditions for data sharing, including prioritising real-time data generated from the operation of information systems and digital platforms and organising data sharing through application programming interfaces that ensure safety, security, and efficiency under Article 42(2)(a) and Article 42(2)(b). The Draft Law requires owners of digital platforms and systems to compile and provide periodic or ad hoc statistical reports and data to state agencies under Article 43(2)(a) and Article 43(2)(b). It also requires compliance with the law on data and the law on personal data protection when data is accessed and used by state authorities under Article 65(1).
