On 1 January 2026, Law No. 75/2025/QH15 enters into force, applying the amended Articles 15a, 19, and 23 of the Law on Advertising, which require advertising content to be truthful, accurate, and clear and to avoid misleading consumers regarding product characteristics, quality, uses, or effects. Advertising must be clearly distinguishable from non-advertising content on all media, including social networks and digital platforms. Persons transmitting advertising products, including online endorsers and influencers, must verify advertiser credibility and supporting documentation, disclose advertising or sponsorship status immediately before and during advertising activities, and bear legal responsibility for unlawful or misleading content. Online advertising service providers must monitor linked content to ensure compliance and prevent deceptive practices.
