On 16 June 2025, the National Assembly adopted Law No. 75/2025/QH15, amending Articles 15a, 19, and 23 of the Law on Advertising to strengthen fair marketing and advertising practices. Advertising content must be truthful, accurate, and clear and must not mislead consumers regarding product characteristics, quality, uses, or effects. Advertising must be clearly distinguishable from non-advertising content across all media, including social networks and digital platforms. Persons transmitting advertising products, including online endorsers and influencers, must verify the credibility of advertisers and supporting documentation, clearly disclose advertising or sponsorship status immediately before and during advertising activities, and are legally responsible for unlawful or misleading content. Online advertising service providers must monitor linked content to ensure compliance with advertising law and prevent deceptive practices.
