Indonesia: Google filed appeal against interim ruling in KPPU investigation into Google over alleged abuse of dominant market position

On 16 July 2024, Google submitted its response to allegations by the Indonesian Competition Commission (KPPU) concerning violations under Law Number 5 of 1999. The violations focus on Google's practices within the Indonesian app market and, specifically, its requirement for app developers to use the Google Play Billing System, which has progressed to a Preliminary Examination phase. Google has contested the alleged Violation Report submitted by the KPPU Investigator, and both parties have presented lists of witnesses and experts.
