Description

Implemented Law No. 406-FZ including prohibition on providing services if not included in Roskomnadzor register

On 1 February 2024, Law No. 406-FZ prohibiting hosting providers from offering services if they are not included in the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) register entered into force. The Law required the hosting providers to notify Roskomnadzor before commencing operations involving hosting information on a system permanently connected to the Internet. Additionally, hosting providers must ensure compliance with information protection requirements established by Roskomnadzor. The Roskomnadzor maintains a register of hosting providers compliant with the notification and quality of service requirements.
