On 22 October 2018, the Bill no. 570420-7, amending the Act on Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection and Act on Communications was introduced to the State Duma. The Bill requires the hosting provider to notify the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) before commencing operations involving hosting information on a system permanently connected to the Internet.
