On 6 December 2023, the Group of Seven (G7) adopted a statement affirming their commitment to advancing international discussions on inclusive artificial intelligence (AI) governance and promoting interoperability between various AI governance frameworks. The statement aims to realise a shared vision and goal of trustworthy AI, recognising that the specifics of this vision may vary among G7 members. The overarching objective, however, is to achieve safe, secure, and trustworthy AI in alignment with shared democratic values. Additionally, the statement acknowledges the Hiroshima AI Process Comprehensive Policy Framework, urging AI actors to support the Hiroshima Process International Guiding Principles and the Hiroshima Process International Code of Conduct.
