On 12 March 2023, Assembly Bill A836, amending labor law by prohibiting employers from requesting or requiring employees or applicants to disclose personal account information, entered into force. The Bill prohibits employers from requiring the disclosure of username and login information, including passwords, as a condition of employment, maintenance of employment status, or for use in disciplinary actions.
