Closed consultation on CMA investigation into merger between Vodafone and Hutchison 3G UK

On 1 November 2023, the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) closed its consultation on an investigation into a potential merger between Vodafone and Hutchison. The CMA is evaluating whether the proposed joint venture between telecommunications providers Vodafone and Hutchison, if implemented, would result in a relevant merger situation according to the Enterprise Act 2002 and, if so, whether it would substantial lessening of competition in any UK market for goods or services.
