Implemented Act expanding definition of sensitive personal information in CCPA (AB 947)

On 1 January 2024, the Act amending the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) entered into force. In particular, the Act expands the definition of "sensitive personal information" for purposes of the CCPA to include personal information that reveals a consumer's citizenship or immigration status.
