Adopted Bill expanding definition of sensitive personal information in CCPA (AB 947)

On 5 September 2023, AB 947 amending the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) was adopted after being passed by the Senate. In particular, The Bill expands the definition of "sensitive personal information" for purposes of the CCPA to include personal information that reveals a consumer’s citizenship or immigration status.
