On 15 March 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced the reopening of the consultation on new Cybersecurity Risk Management Rules for Investment Advisers. In particular, the proposal would require advisers and funds to implement written policies that are designed to address cybersecurity risks, report relevant cybersecurity incidents to the SEC, increase the necessary disclosures related to cybersecurity risks and incidents, and maintain cybersecurity-related records. The consultation will close sixty days after the publication of the proposed Rules in the Federal Register.
