Introduced Digital Asset Mining Protection Act (SB 2603)
On 16 January 2023, the Digital Asset Mining Protection Act (SB 2603) was introduced in the Mississippi Senate. The proposed Act, if passed, legalises and regulates both home digital asset mining and mining in industrial areas. Furthermore, the Act includes an exemption for the purchase and sale of virtual currency under the Mississippi Money Transmitters Act.
