Adopted EU-India Trade and Technology Council including cybersecurity provisions

On 6 February 2023, the European Union and India adopted a joint statement on the Trade and Technology Council (TTC), a forum for high-level cooperation to increase the collaboration between the parties on the digital economy. The Strategic Technologies, Digital Governance and Digital Connectivity Working Group, in particular, will cover R&D, capacity building, and regulation in the field of cybersecurity, as well as adjacent topics such as cloud systems, technology standards, and digital platforms. The working group could substitute the India-EU Joint ICT Working Group.
