Concluded negotiations on Korea and Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement including data localisation prohibition

On 15 December 2021, the Governments of Korea and Singapore announced the conclusion of negotiations for the Korea-Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement. The KSDPA will strengthen digital connectivity between both countries by facilitating cross-border data flows and prohibiting data localisation. Furthermore, the Agreement will also deepen bilateral cooperation in new emerging areas such as personal data protection, E-payments, and source code protection.
