On 30 May 2022, the Data Governance Act (DGA) was signed by the President of the European Parliament and the President of the European Council. The DGA will be implemented 15 months after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union (on 3 June 2022), thus on 4 September 2023. The DGA aims to improve data sharing trust, establish new EU laws on data marketplace neutrality, and make it easier to reuse public-sector data. In important fields including health, the environment, energy, agriculture, mobility, finance, manufacturing, public administration, and skills, it will establish common European data spaces.
