Switzerland: Geneva Court of Justice issues ruling classifying Uber as employer

On 17 November 2020, the Court of Justice of the Canton of Geneva issued its ruling on the case brought before the court by Uber appealing Canton Geneva’s decision to classify it as a transport company. The Court of Justice has decided that Uber is properly classed as a transport company, noting that its drivers are considered employees in the Canton of Geneva.
