China: Implemented Cybersecurity Review Measures 2020

On 1 June 2020, the Measures on Cybersecurity Review 2020 come into effect. The measures were previously adopted by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) alongside another eleven government agencies on 27 April following a public consultation that ran from 24 May 2019 to 27 April 2020. Under the new measures, The operators of critical infrastructure in China would be obliged to conduct a risk assessment to ensure that their activities don’t negatively impact the national security in China.
