Consultation opens on the draft Cybersecurity Review Measures

On 24 May 2019, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) issued the draft Measures on Cybersecurity Review for public consultation. The stakeholders are invited to submit their feedback until 24 June. The draft Measures on Cybersecurity Review aim to implement the cybersecurity review required by Article 35 of Cybersecurity Law. The operators of critical infrastructure in China would be obliged to conduct a risk assessment to ensure that their activities don’t negatively impact the national security in China.
