Description

Financial Markets Authority issued updated guidance against unauthorised crypto-asset services, including accgn

On 10 October 2024, the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) issued a notice concerning several unauthorised actors offering investments in the non-regulated Forex market and in crypto-asset derivatives. The AMF and the ACPR regularly update blacklists of sites identified as offering such investments without authorisation. The notice applies to providers of crypto-assets and crypto-asset services operating in France without authorisation, including newly identified sites such as Accgn and Elansyvor. It indicates that users may verify whether an entity offering crypto-asset services holds the required authorisation by consulting the AMF’s official whitelist of registered Digital Asset Service Providers (DASPs) and Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs).
