Description

Office of Communications fined Kick GBP 830'000 over non compliance with age assurance and statutory information request with a conditional GBP 200 daily rate penalty

On 11 February 2026, the Office of Communications (Ofcom) issued a confirmation decision under Section 132 of the Online Safety Act 2023 against Kick Online Entertainment. The decision found that from 25 July 2025 to 29 December 2025, Kick failed to implement highly effective age assurance on its website, motherless, in breach of Section 12 of the Act. It also failed to respond within the required timeframe to a statutory information request under Section 102(8). As a result, Ofcom imposed penalties of GBP 800’000 and GBP 30’000, in line with its Penalty Guidelines. Kick Online is required to provide a complete list of all pornographic sites it operates. A daily penalty of GBP 200 will apply from 12 February 2026 until compliance, or until 13 April 2026, whichever comes first.
