Republic of Korea: Bill on Partial Amendment to the Act on Promotion of Industrial Digital Transformation (Bill No. 2214589) including interoperability requirement was introduced to the National Assembly

On 26 November 2025, the Bill on Partial Amendment to the Act on Promotion of Industrial Digital Transformation (Bill No. 2214589) was introduced to the National Assembly. The Bill would amend Article 12 to extend standardisation obligations to industrial artificial intelligence. The provision would cover interoperability, linkage between industrial data, joint use and sharing of platforms, alignment with international standards, mandatory compliance by government agencies, and corrective measures following compliance investigations.
