Republic of Korea: Bill on Partial Amendment to the Act on Promotion of Industrial Digital Transformation (Bill No. 2214589) including artificial intelligence authority governance was introduced to the National Assembly

On 26 November 2025, the Bill on Partial Amendment to the Act on Promotion of Industrial Digital Transformation (Bill No. 2214589) was introduced to the National Assembly. The Bill would amend Articles 6(3), 7, and 8 to rename the Industrial Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Utilisation Committee and to expand its mandate. The Bill would define the Committee’s composition and extend its deliberative and oversight functions to policies, plans, and implementation relating to industrial artificial intelligence.
