On 15 February 2026, Government Decree No. 342/2025/ND-CP, which specifies certain provisions of the Law on Advertising, and which mandates fair marketing and advertising requirements for online advertising systems, enters into force. Article 19(4) requires providers of intermediary digital platforms for online advertisements to follow certain transparency requirements. For each advertisement, providers must display the name and address of the advertiser, or the purchaser of the advertisement. Search engine providers must ensure that sponsored search results are clearly marked to distinguish them from regular search results.
