On 29 September 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) opened a public consultation, until 20 October 2025, on the Draft Law on Artificial Intelligence, which establishes cybersecurity obligations for artificial intelligence systems by reference to existing cybersecurity law and through system-specific duties. The Draft Law requires that activities related to artificial intelligence systems comply with legal regulations on cybersecurity under Article 6(2). It requires suppliers and implementers of high-risk artificial intelligence systems to ensure a level of network security appropriate to the purpose of use and the level of risk under Article 15(5). It further requires that the storage, processing and transfer of important data and personal data in artificial intelligence activities comply with cybersecurity requirements under Article 32(2). The Draft Law provides for supervision, inspection and handling of violations of cybersecurity obligations in the operation of artificial intelligence systems under Articles 22 and 23, including the application of temporary measures where serious security risks are detected.
