Ministry of Commerce suspended unreliable entity list measures on 6 US companies for 90 days

On 14 May 2025, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced the suspension of measures imposed on 6 US entities under the Unreliable Entity List framework, pursuant to Announcement [2025] No. 8. The suspension, which will remain in effect for 90 days, forms part of the implementation of the consensus reached during recent China–US high-level economic and trade talks. The original measures prohibited the listed entities from engaging in import and export activities related to China and from making new investments within the country. During the suspension period, Chinese enterprises may apply to conduct transactions with the affected entities, with applications subject to regulatory review and approval based on relevant criteria. The suspension is set to expire on 12 August 2025.
