China: Ministry of Commerce added 6 companies including Shield AI and Sierra Nevada Corporation to unreliable entity list over military technology sales to Taiwan

Description

Ministry of Commerce added 6 companies including Shield AI and Sierra Nevada Corporation to unreliable entity list over military technology sales to Taiwan

On 10 April 2025, China’s Ministry of Commerce issued an order listing 6 companies on its unreliable entity list. The companies are described as having engaged in military technology cooperation with Taiwan, which, according to the Ministry, affects China’s national sovereignty, security, and development interests. The designation places the firms under measures pursuant to China’s unreliable entity framework. This prohibits them from engaging in import or export activities related to China or making investments within the territory of China. The Ministry stated that the measure applies to foreign entities identified as relevant to national security considerations. The companies included are Shield AI, Inc., Sierra Nevada Corporation, Cyberlux Corporation, Edge Autonomy Operations LLC, Group W, and Hudson Technologies Co.
