Description

Ministry of Commerce suspended dual-use export control order on 12 US companies for 90 days

On 14 May 2025, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced the suspension of export control measures imposed on 12 US entities under Announcement No. 22 of 2025. The 90-day suspension reflects the implementation of the consensus reached during recent China–US high-level economic and trade talks. The original measures prohibited the export of dual-use items to the listed entities. During the suspension period, exporters may apply for authorisation to export such items, with each application reviewed individually and approved if found to be in compliance with applicable regulations. The suspension is set to expire on 12 August 2025.
