Ministry of Commerce adopted order adding 12 US entities to the export control list

On 9 April 2025, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce adopted an export control order applicable to 12 United States companies. The order prohibits the export of dual-use items to the listed entities, aiming to protect national security and comply with international non-proliferation obligations. In special circumstances where exports are necessary, exporters must apply to the Ministry of Commerce for authorisation. The companies added to the list are American Photonics, Novotech, Inc., Echodyne, Marvin Engineering Company, Inc., Exovera, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., BRINC Drones, Inc., SYNEXXUS, Inc., Firestorm Labs, Inc., Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Inc., Domo Tactical Communications, and Insitu, Inc. The order enters into force on 10 April 2025.
