Description

Bill 8309 implementing Digital Services Act in Luxembourg was adopted by Chamber of Deputies

On 2 April 2025, the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg adopted in a first constitutional vote Draft Law No. 8309 implementing Digital Services Act. The draft law targets providers of intermediary services operating in Luxembourg and establishes the national enforcement architecture for the Digital Services Act by designating the Luxembourg Competition Authority as Luxembourg’s Digital Services Coordinator and by allocating national supervisory and enforcement powers. Following the first vote, the legislative file indicates that the second constitutional vote was waived, allowing the text to proceed towards promulgation and publication.
