Signed Bill Securing and Regulating the Digital Space including data protection regulation
On 21 May 2024, the Bill Securing and Regulating the Digital Space, was signed. The Amendment aims to clarify the scope of applicability of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Law No. 78-17 to include data collected in France but handled by a non-EU data processor. The Amendment imposes the data protection obligations from the GDPR and Law No. 78-17 on all data processors of data gathered in France.
