Published MIC warning regarding compliance with content moderation requirements for online gaming

On 24 May 2024, the Ministry of Communication and Information (MCI) issued a warning to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), requiring them to take active measures in combating online gambling. MCI cautioned that failure to comply with content moderation requirements would lead to the revocation of their licenses. Additionally, MCI specified that each piece of content violating these requirements would incur a fine of IDR 500 million. This warning was prompted by the significant number of ISPs still not in compliance with these regulations.
