Bulgaria: Closed Consultation on Bill Amending and Supplementing the Electronic Communications Act designating competent authorities and coordinator under the Digital Service Act

On 15 January 2024, the Bulgarian Government closed its consultation on the draft Bill Amending and Supplementing the Electronic Communications Act, designating competent authorities and coordinator under the Digital Service Act (DSA). The bill outlines the national measures necessary to implement the DSA and harmonise all applicable rules. In particular, the Bill designates the Bulgarian Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) as the Digital Services Coordinator and outlines its responsibilities.
