Issued Report on TTC's Trustworthy AI and Risk Management Roadmap including commitment to ensure the interoperability of AI regulations

On 30 January 2024, the US-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) held its fifth ministerial meeting and emphasised the importance of expanding transatlantic cooperation in critical and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). The TTC highlighted the progress made through the TTC Joint Roadmap on Trustworthy AI and Risk Management and committed to continue promoting interoperability in emerging approaches to AI governance. The parties also acknowledged the rapid pace of technological innovation and stressed that through TTC, they aim to develop responsible rules for critical and emerging technologies, including creating compatible and interoperable standards that reinforce the work of international standards development organisations.
