China: Terminated Interim Measures for the Administration of Data Property Rights Registration in Shenzhen

On 1 July 2026, the Interim Measures for the Administration of Data Property Rights Registration in Shenzhen are no longer applicable. The measures established a data property rights registration system to regulate data property rights, protect the legitimate rights and interests of participants in the data market, and promote the open flow, development, and utilization of data. The measure created a structured framework for data ownership and facilitated data transactions. The measures were in force for three years.
