Implemented Second Law amending the Youth Protection Act including service access restrictions

On 1 May 2021, the Second Law amending the Youth Protection Act, including service access restrictions, was implemented. In particular, the Law requires online service providers with over 1 million users in Germany to implement technical measures to enable age verification for user-generated audiovisual content that was self-rated as appropriate for users over 18 years.
